MPOC 2010 2nd Leg - Our Story

Gotta feeling that soon Apex gonna gimme a call and ask me to update this website. So, better I get started now :).

For this leg, only 6 teams registered. All the usuals, Red Sevens, CMX, Urban-X, Jokerz & Nasty Gangstarz (familiar faces from JB Syndicate). I believe other teams like Oscar Valkyrie and D'Mercy Kidz (to name some teams) have their own reason to miss this round. Hopefully we all can see them in the next leg :).

On day 1, we're playing with 5 men. Merah was MIA (later we found out that he has a family problem). Without A'are, Apex and Li, Eastsiderzz was filled by Mamat and the returning Pojie. Zul Crazy Hunters give a helping hands as a pit crew + spotter. Thank you very much bro.

So the results for preliminary games on day 1 as below (maybe not in correct orders):
  1. vs Jokerz - Lose
  2. vs Nasty Gangstarz - Win
  3. vs CMX - Lose
  4. vs Urban-X - Win
  5. vs Red Sevens - Win
Sorry, I can remember the details of the match. Total game for day 1 is at least 10 games. But personally, I think this time it less tiring. Maybe due to scheduling even though there are less teams compared to 1st leg, or by other factors. So by 3 wins, Eastsiderzz managed to grab 3rd place spot and will be in the semifinals in Day 2.

On day 2, we're playing with 6 men. The results for semifinals games as follow:
vs CMX - Lose 2-0
So 3rd and 4th placing match is between Eastsiderzz and Urban-X, which has lose to Red Sevens. Even though history wrote that Eastsiderzz always overcomes Urban-X in most of our matches, this time luck is not on our side. So we got beaten by 2-0 points. What a bad Day 2. No win at all :(. But Eastsiderzz managed to get a Fair Play award for Div 2. Well, that's one of good thing happened to us, rite? :)

4th place is not a bad result at all. Still a podium finisher. Just one point differences between us and Red Sevens. Next leg gonna see whether we're still in fights for overall Champion for Div 2. Maybe with a comeback and luck of new daddies, we're gonna get a new hope to continue this fight.

I would like to extend my thank you to all who involved directly and indirectly with Eastsiderzz during this time. Thank you again.

Signing-off for now,

Che'ka
